Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Western Hills Garden. When the property was in foreclosure years ago, it was the volunteers who lobbied the bank to keep the water on and jumped the fence to check on things (or so the story goes….).

We meet on Tuesdays starting at 9am and work on garden projects ranging from pruning and weeding to planting and propagation. We are also looking for help with administrative projects, content development, marketing, and fundraising.

It’s a great way to meet new people, get your hands dirty, and enjoy homemade muffins!

Please fill out the form below to let us know that you’re interested.

We are currently hiring a Guest Experience Associate to serve as a key ambassador for the Garden’s mission. This position helps create a positive experience for guests of the Garden and assists in garden and nursery maintenance.

It is a part-time role, budgeted for 12-18 hours per week working primarily Saturday and Sundays from 9am-4pm, with occasional weeknight hours. The hourly wage starts at $16 per hour.

Interested candidates should review the full job description and submit a resume and cover letter outlining their qualifications and interest in the position to [email protected]. Please include “Guest Experience Associate” in the subject line. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. We are hoping to hire for an August 1 start date.
