Membership Note: If you want to attend our member events or just enjoy the garden through the changes in seasons, now is the time to consider a membership. We will be offering four free passes for our new members, and you will be helping support the garden into the future.
Recent events: We had several events during 2016.
For “Autumn in the Garden,” members and volunteers were invited for coffee, tea, and a tour of the fall garden. The Camellias and Hellebores were blooming early, with Fall color arriving. This event on November 6 welcomed the start of Pacific Standard Time.
In July we offered “Mulch Madness,” a hands-on look at our composting operation run Dick and Mary Miner. Mary won the “Best of Show” in the Composting competition at the Marin County Fair with Western Hills compost.
We had two “Walk and Talks” in the garden in June — “A Bee’s Eye View of the Garden” with Mary Zovich on June 4, exploring the life of the bees at Western Hills Garden; and “Look Up!” with Sara Malone, admiring the form and foliage of the garden, on June 18.
